Connecting Artists to the Community with Education, Therapy and Fun

This is called "The Quiet Place". It represents my connection to nature and all things green~ that space where no manmade sounds or intrusions exist. Since its an internal view, I used transparency and iridescent materials to show the inner workings of the painting, much like the inner workings of a mind in "The Quiet Place." The subject matter of meditation is also a reference to inner quiet.

The different views of the piece is to show the varying colors of the iridescence in the work, depending on where and how you hold it- or even what time of day it is. For example, if you look at it from the left, its green, if you look at it from above, some areas have a golden hue-- and at night, it GLOWS.

I call these Interactive Paintings because the viewer's participation and motion is required to look at it from other angles to appreciate its real gifts. "The Quiet Place", Mixed Media Acrylic Collage, $500. Prints available.
