Katherine (Katie) Stephens
Katie is the owner/designer at The Shamrock Swamp. She learned to knit from her sister as a young girl and taught herself to crochet at the age of 22. With some help from the Irish lacemakers in her biological family, her skill and speed has increased greatly in the last few years, and she is now pleased to share her creations with you.
Katie is a social work major, soon to be transferring to the University of South Alabama in the balmy city of Moble, but she calls Biloxi, Mississippi home. Katie is Irish by birth, Southern by adoption, and "Cajun by association." She calls herself the mom of "two two-year olds: One human boy, Jack, and one crazy beagle mix, Svetlana."
She believes firmly that nothing she does matters if she cannot use it to help others. Therefore, a portion of all proceeds from Shamrock Swamp (at least 10%) go to local, national, and global charities.
