This is art, creating a website! I really hope I've done it right, staying up til 3 am last night did bad things to my brain~ everything shows up fine, on here, however I can't get to it via the web anywhere. There is something about a 36 to 48 hour delay, maybe this is what they're talking about. I hope so, without instant gratification, you can't tell if you've messed up or not.

This is a young man that was kind enough to hold still so I could demonstrate portrait painting at the Moss Point Parks and Recreation Summer camp art class this past Tuesday. (This is why I love being part of art with heart, you get to do things that you would feel bizarre doing by yourself). Who'd just go teach an art class without something backing you? Its an interesting thought.

Ah, digressing, anyway- this fellow posed and there is now a wonderful underpainting waiting for some color additions, but given the paint the GIRLS (yes you!!!) mixed together, all I had was crappy mud to paint with, so this poor guy's portrait is needing some serious attention.

He's a very polite and intelligent young man :) His Mom must be proud.

Hi Catherine :) Thank you for your compliments and having such a polite and gracious son, a gentleman. Whoever gets down about "today's youth" obviously hasn't met him or those like him. I hope he doesn't get picked on by his friends now, ha ha.

The portrait is yours when the Rec center is finished showing it at the open house, of course. I can't wait to see it matted and framed. Have a good weekend! Blessings, Linda
